I'm about to upgrade my vB installation
 

from 3.6 to 3.8x and I'm running the Photopost Classifieds version that is compatible with 3.6. What PPC functionality will stop working once vB gets upgraded? If I upgrade vB without upgrading PPC, will the script still be viewable even if people cannot post new ads? Meaning, can I leave it open to view the ads and just not allow people to post new ads?

I think things should work fine if I remember correctly. The last main vb code branch difference I think that affected anything was 3.5

Then again there has been tons of improvements in classifieds if your running an older version so you might also want to upgrade.

LOL! yeah, upgrading a heavily modified vb site with 2.5 million posts is never fun - hence, the 3.6 to 3.8 jump... finally just getting around to it.

Hey Chuck, any idea what would make thumbnails stop working after an upgrade? All the old ones still show up, but new uploads don't produce thumbnails. The full size photos work fine. I've tried changing from GD to Imagemagick with no success. What am I forgetting to check?

You would have to post a link for actual support but looks like you might need to renew access to obtain support. I am not seeing any licenses of yours that have current access except for vbgallery so not sure how you would obtain the latest classifieds.

Make sure to update your forum email to match any license email that has support access to become verified. There are multiple licenses attached to your name and I cant be sure its all one person.

Like stated all classifieds licenses show you as being expired so not sure how your getting our latest code. I need to have that answered here to be able to assist as well as you updating your email on your forum profile so you can become verified.

If I go into the members area and sign in I get your access has expired please renew.

Sorry Chuck, this thumbnail issue was pertaining to vbgallery, not classifieds. I've posted in the vbgallery forum.

Ah okay yeah it was a little confusing since the thread was posted about classifieds and then I went to see your licenses and see all are expired except vbgallery I was wondering how you can upgrade classifieds. ;)
