| Final step not accepting password
I just went through all the steps to install classifieds and got to the last one where you set up your admin area and it would not accept any information i put in. I went back throught the steps to verify and now im getting even more error messages. So I went to the adm-index.php and i get this error message "We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later. " I can't do anything now. Anyone encountered this problem who has a solution?

WHAT STEP is this?
I doubt if your doing an internal install where it asks for an admin name and password it is going to prevent you from using your password.
Please give us some more info here on type of install and a url?

I followed the PhotoPost Classifieds Installation which was provided when I downloaded the files.
The site the classifieds are being uploaded to is Sweetwater Lane
(I have not learned the exact address of where my classifieds are)
When I finally got past step 3 (which I chose internal user registration system since I do not have an existing/external forum) the screen was prompting me to fill in information for administration setting such as admin user name and password.

what do you mean you dont know where your classifieds is at? How are you installing it? http://www.sweetwaterlane.com/classifieds/install.php
I am not finding it anywhere so you must be using some non standard directory name

Your issue has nothing to do with not accepting the password your error is because you can not complete the install. The script tells you permissions are incorrect on your data directory.
ftp to your site and set permissions on the data and uploads directories at every level to 777 permissions and then rerun install
As far as your directory name is there any specific reason you are installing with the name twice. why not simply put it in a simple directory on your server called classifieds.

Ok, I changed my permissions in each area.
Went back to install.php and went back throught the steps now this is what I get. We're sorry, but we encountered an error during the installation process...
Unable to create/write to /home/sweetwat/public_html/pp-classifieds/pp-classifieds32/data/1! Check your data directory permissions before continuing.
When you have fixed your permissions Refresh this page to try again.
If you have corrected the error, you may hit GO BACK and try again.
When I FTP the unziped files I created a directory according to the instructions labeled pp-classifieds and when I ftp the files it automatically created the pp-classifieds32 directory. I did not purposly create the second directory.

Your error is still the same one I explained above. Your data directory and every last directory beneath it are not set properly to 777 permissions.

Also, here in the forum is there an area where I would research on how to change the appearance of my classifieds, I want to modify it to match my website.

Does this company have designers to make such changes, since installing was so much fun I don't know if I want to take the time to learn how to make it look different? If not, do you have affiliate designers who offer such services?
