Upgrade Questions

I am a little confused on the upgrade from 2.61;

The instructions in the upgrade.txt file items 1 and 2 state;

1) Check for new config-inc.php variables, some recent additions are:

$cookie_domain has been added for website cookies. I highly recommend setting this to ".youdomain.com" where yourdomain is the name of your domain. This will enable cookies to be read across your website regardless of the URL (i.e. galley.website.com and forums.website.com). If you are using a forum integration you must have this set in both your forums and photopost.
$vblicense is for vB3 users and is required to encrypt your passwords. Without it you will not be able to login to VB3.

2) Upload all files - except config-inc.php, unless you modified it from the ZIP file - to
your server. You do not need install.php for an upgrade.

My questions are;

1. Where do I find any additional variables that have been added to the config-inc.php?

2. item 2 says to upload all files except the config-inc.php, but option 1 tells me to make changes to it. If I made changes to it shouldn't it need to be uploaded?

The upgrade process is a little cryptic and I really dont want to have problems, so any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Joey

Some of these instructions are for very old upgrades. Your simply doing number 2

You simply upload all the files except config files and install file and run the upgrade and select what upgrades you need to run from your version forward.

I am confused by this statement Chuck. Don't I only need to do 1 upgrade to get to the latest version? Your statement makes it sound like I need to run multiple upgrades when you say 'select what upgrades you need to run from your version forward'.

Joey if you run the upgrade file you will see what I mean. There are multiple upgrades in that file corresponding to the various versions that have been since your version 2.61

You need to run all three of these upgrades.

Upgrade from PhotoPost Classifieds 2.6 to 3.0
Upgrade from PhotoPost Classifieds 3.0 -> 3.1
Upgrade from PhotoPost Classifieds 3.1 -> 3.11

Thanks Chuck, the upgrades seemed to go fine, but I am still getting the Internal Server Error when the 1st bid is placed on my auction items. I have posted about this in the bugs forum.
Thanks
Joey
