Still having upgrade problems HELP

FOr teh second time I am trying to upgrade from 2.6 to 3.11. I have tried using teh existing config file and also editing the new config file and uploading it. Either way I get the same problem:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'abc'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/abc/public_html/bcforum/pp-classifieds/upgrade.php on line 1123
I cannot connect to the PhotoPost database. [host:$host][mysql_user:$mysql_user][mysql_password:$mysql_password]

Thanks that got me past the first error. Now I am getting the following:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I should add that I am integrated with Threads7 (and yes, I did upload the new threads7.php file to the forums dir).

Ok, I downloaded the build again and re-uploaded upgrade.php. Definitely got further, but still no cigar. (I restored my database to its backed up status before re-trying). This time, on the first step I got this error:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
But it gave me the option to continue so I did and got this error:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Then, when it told me to go to my admin section, I got this in my admin section:

Quote:
We're sorry, but the system experienced an unrecoverable error. Please try again later.
What now?

Basil

If you redownloaded the build and reuploaded the upgrade.php from there you should not be getting any cache or usergroups thing that simply does not exist anymore in the upgrade file I uploaded.

Have you ran both the 3.1 and 3.11 upgrade?

I did download 3.11 build again and uploaded the new upgrade.php file. I am currently running 2.6, so the first script I ran was 2.6 >> 3.0 script. That is when I get this:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I'll re-download again and try a third time just in case I didn't grab the one with the changes.

(I notice just as an observation that neither of those tables that it says don't exist do not have the pp_ prefix that all of my tables have).

You did not send an admin login but seems to be working now for me

You where missing a field in the usergroups table.

I am upgrading ppclassified from 2.6.1 to 3.1. Ran into the same exact problem. Made the change in post #2, got the same results as post #3. Is the stock upgrade script broke? Do I need to file a support request to get this fixed?

Chuck, you should still have my ftp logins from last week. You helped me out with a problem that was my fault on an Ohio related site. I don't think this one is my fault and I'd really like to know exactly what the real problem is.....

PS. I'm upgrading from 2.6.1 to 3.1

You can send us an email to the contact us link through the header. without an email or something to search on in our helpdesk I would not know how to find old login info.
