Problem with cookies and logging out

When members go between the forum and the Classifieds - they get logged out of the forum.

Cookie settings are the same between the forum and the Classifieds.

I downloaded my vb config.php and got the cookie prefix, which was bb

Site - survivalistboards.com

classifieds - survivalistboards.com/classifieds/

Cookie path - /

Forum Cookie Prefix - bb

PhotoPost Classifieds Cookie Domain - .survivalistboards.com

VB version - 3.8.0

You can place a test login here for us to try

As long as cookies are set in BOTH applications as you suggest there should be no issues

The one thing I see is your forum is not creating any bbuserid or bbpassword cookies which is extremely weird.

You have any mods installed that might affect this?

Also your bbuserid and bbpassword cookies created by classifieds do not authenticate into vbulletin so there I would suggest you check to ensure in your classifieds config settings you have the proper vbulletin license number entered in your config settings of classifieds not customer number.

uuhhhhhhh, I dont know. I have around 25 modifications installed, but I dont think that any of them affect cookies.

The only modification that I have for security is a proxy blocker. But its supposed to just check for java script.

I went into my vbulletin account at vbulletin.com and got that information. I might have gotten the customer number instead of the license number.

I'll check the vbulletin.com support forums for the bbuserid and bbpasswords cookie issue. But I'am at work right now, and will not be able to fix anything until this evening when I get home.

Thank you for your help, this gives me two things to work on.

Not a problem yeah they should be able to explain why you dont have bbuserid and bbpassword cookies when you login in at the forum

As far as our part yeah you probally dont have the license number entered.

I also had a multiple log in detector that set a cookie on members computers.

Just got home from work, gonna start working on it now.

I "think" the problem has been fixed. I had an older "who has visited today" modification that might have been causing the problems.

I can go between the forum, classifieds and admin control panel without getting logged out.

There you go mods/hacks always cause issues.
