I cannot connect to the Members database.

I am using the same as in the config-inc for classifieds as in photopost except for the cp_

can you explain this as I had no problems with photopost

it creates the tables but will not let me go any further

That error states that under the USER DATABASE section of install you are not putting the proper user database information to connect to it. Both database sections on config need to be filled out with proper information even if both databases are the same info.
