Not really any response going on there the a is for alpha I am assuming here in your mysql version. The latest 5.0 mysql I beleive is like 5.068 or more. In fact mysql is already on versions 5.1 and 6.0 so an alpha version some where down the pipe is not up to date.
Your mysql does not really need to be up to date but if your mysql has bugs contained in that version what I am saying is this is why you have your issue and no one else does.
