Individual Databases or Shared Database?

I was in the midst of creating a module for my vbadvanced CMPS page, when I was reading some of the back and forth comments as I was having difficulty getting the module to work, only to find out that there were some additional changes needed if photopost did not share the same database as vbulletin.

Well, for my install i utilized seperate databases each for the pp photo galler pro, pp classieds, and one for vBulletin.

After reading some comments about improved performance if using one database, i'm a bit concerned. Should I have used one database for all three? What the differences in seperate databased vs. one shared database? If I should need to convert to one database, how difficult is this task and will i lose information? Do i need to do a fresh install? Arghhhh... thankfully the site is not live yet, but I'm so limitted in my abilities (knowledge), i really don't wan't to go through an entire fresh install.

Any and all suggestions welcomed!

Thank you.

I prefer to use separate databases but its really up to you really. I only prefer this for cleanliness. To change things to one database yes easiest thing to do is reinstall in your situation.

<sigh> if there's no real performance increase/benefit, i'd prefer to keep them seperately as well, thanks again chuck.
