Problems after update from 242 to 261

Hi,

I made an update with vbulletin from 3.53 -> 3.67PL1 and classifieds from 2.42 to 2.61.

Now I have the problem, that I can't edit the categories any longer in the admin panel. There simply isn't any button any more.
It looks like that:
Quote:
Kursangebote (Order: [löschen] [Add Subcat] [] [leer] [Sort Subcats] [Moderators]
Biete Kurse (Order: [löschen] [Add Subcat] [] [leer] [Moderators]
Suche Kurse (Order: [löschen] [Add Subcat] [] [leer] [Moderators]
I tried to copy the latest package of 3.61 over the files, but that doesn't make any difference.

Another problem are the special german characters like "ä".
Those are now some nice pictures within the admin panel.
Since I changed the whole server, it could be a problem with the collation in the mysql tables, but I am not quite sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest you upload all new clean files. I do not see in any way any issues with the default code on this matter

I've done that twice, but there is no difference.
Should I make backup of the databases and make a clean new install of 2.61?

The missing buton is in the files and not in the tables isn't it?
Could you tell me, which files I should take a closer look at, please.

well looking at your error you post I would suspect you have an issue with your hacking which is why I said to use default code

Our admin side is english and seeing you have altered the files your issue would come down to that most likely especially when we dont see any issues

1. Replace any hacked NON SUPPORTED FILES with ones that are completely supported non hacked.

That is basically the only thing I can suggest here everything looks and operates fine that I am seeing.

I am sorry, but I can't do any more than copy the files in your pp-classifieds261.zip into the directory of the server.

I have done that twice and nothing happens.

I do the administration of this site only for a few months and as far as I know, we didn't do any hacks!

I changed the config_inc.php from:
$pplang = "english"; to $pplang = "german";

When I do that the edit button vanishes, when I turn it back to the default of english the edit button is back again.
(Doing this in potopost it works in both languages)

Now I would like to use this soft with female human beings which can't understand the english language very well ...

What do I have to do to help you to get a complete german version of your soft?
If you will give me a list of words/phrases I will translate it and send it back to you.
If you tell me where to look in your soft I will change it only for myself.

best regards
and thanks for all
peter

Okay well clearly then the issue is somewhere with your editing of the files. Since Photopost is only packed with english I dont know what your doing wrong.

See you are not doing your hack correctly. I know this always comes down to something not in the code.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
so make sure your custom language file has the edit string in it

Got it! - at least I hope so.
My predecessor created an german language file and directory.

I will take a deeper look inside in the next days and hope to fix it.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the trouble.
