Subdomain issues
What issues if any will I experience if I choose a subdomain for my forums, or other misc pages? Are there any suggestions for setting it up this way?

No issues provided you correctly specify your cookies in all applications to read your domain like this so it is readable across the entire domain

cookie path /

cookie domain .domain.com
