Can't Log into the Admin Screen I just uploaded a fresh install of the Classifieds Program. The install went fine buy when logging into the admin screen, it fails. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Kevin |
I wanted to mention that The classifieds are also not visible for the web. |
So you have no url to share I take it? What type of integration is this? What do you mean it fails? |
My Installation is as follows: http://www.mydomain.com/forums (Latest version of VB - WORKING) http://www.mydomain/gallery (Latest version of Photopost Pro - WORKING) http://www.mydomain/classifieds I completed the install process for the classifieds program. At the end of the install script, there is a prompt to log into the admin screen. When I attempted to do this, the web browser screen was blank. The same thing happened when I went to view http://www.mydomain/classifieds Is is a permissions problem ? Thanks |
well maybe your server is one of those that does not display your error. My best guess would be on the last step of install you did not specify the correct path to vbulletin on the edit integration questions. The correct course of action is to edit your config-intc.php file and for the $vbpath variable make sure the path to vbulletin is correct. |
Thanks, the wrong path for the forums was entered in the config file and the classifieds are showing. The problem I am having now is that I still can't log in as an admin. I can log into VB and PhotoPost using the same admin username and password. |
I deleted the classifieds tables and reinstalled the program again. Now I can not connect to the members database. Any ideas ? Thanks |
If you can not connnect to the members database then the information you entered on the config portion of install is incorrect. You need to run install and make sure your vb database info is inserted correctly in the user database portion of the config. |
I tripled checked the settings, and went through the install process multiple times and I still can not connect to the member database. At this time, the Classifieds are viewable on the internet and I am not getting the "can not connect to members database". When I try to log into the admin screen or try to view the members list, nothing works. Any ideas would be great. |
If you get on install can not connect to the members database then it is the wrong info so you can delete it and retype the info in the config. Since you do not have true links here I can not assist further |
I copied the settings from my PhotoPost config files into the Classifieds config-inct.php and config-int.php files. As long as both PhotoPro and Classifieds reside on the same server with VB, and are connecting to the same database, shouldn't the settings from both config files be the same ? |
well your table prefix would not be the same and the rest of the settings are in the database not the config so this is probally where your issue is. As far as the can not connect to members database it should be in the config but as I stated before please post links so we can see your site for further assistance. |
Hi Chuck, I am using vb_ for the forums, cp_ for the classifieds. The link is http://www.bagpiper.com/classifieds/ Thanks, Kevin |
Okay how about posting a test user login so I can see how it works I see no visible errors here |
Can I PM you with the information ? |
You can email support@photopost.com with any information on sensitive info. |
Having problem with admin login I have photopost classifieds 2.1, when i enter the admin area and try to change anything it ask for my user name And password. it tells me they are invalid, when i try to use lost password it says page cannot be found. Can i upgrade to 2.6, with vb 3.0.1, and will this solve my problems. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. www.paylesshobbies.com |
I think some of your issues are from using vb templates with relative links in them but more info would be needed there. Now yes I would suggest you upgrade since there have been a whole lot of changes since 2.1 |
