I've modified my classifieds to have different expiration times, category thumbnails, 3 random ads, and linked arrows for last ad posted in a category. Will these mods work in the new version? Will I have to change the scripts again?

With any software if you have done code mods and you upgrade and put regular files back in place you need to recode any hacks. Your hacks should work but you would be responsible for those. I can not really say much here about code hacking other than with our code being unlocked you can pretty much hack to your desire.

When I view a members ads it shows ads that have been marked sold. If I have the Number of days to show sold/closed ads setting to "3" in the show ads options shouldn't these disappear?

Nothing in the upgrade would delete comments

You sure the comments are approved. Go to comments moderation in admin make sure they are approved

Before I upgraded I could edit any of the ads. After the 2.6 upgrade I can only edit my own ads. I have checked all the settings I can find to allow administrators to edit ads and comments but I must be missing something.

Any advice would be welcome.

Nothing has changed on edit ads. I have looked over the code and I see an edit link just fine and it works. This is right in showproduct.php to show the edit link and is the same exact code as the previous version

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I would suggest you make sure you have uploaded all the new files. Make sure you have edit permissions and if you continue to have an issue post in the proper support forum

Thanks Chuck,

It looks like I messed something up when I re-did the customizing. I will look for the code you posted.

Man...we only purchased this software a short time before the upgrade was available and paid for the installation by your support staff. Then this upgrade comes out...Does the installation fee cover an upgrade as well?

upgrade purchase

If I purchase the upgrade...is there ANY chance you can correct the installation location when you installed it the first time. I would be happy to pay for the upgrade if you could do this.

/c_ads/ really sucks...as a good percentage of internet users these days have ad blocker software and such that prevents them from ever seeing the link to the ads as it contains the word "ads"

you have no idea how frustrating this is to explain to a user =)

c_ads ?? We would never install in a location like that unless someone tells us to do that like you

We can change the directory name if you like
