Online users don't show up
 

For some reason, when users are logged in, the classifieds doesn't show who is online besides yourself. It only shows unregistered users. How can I fix this?

The classifieds don't show other members that are currently online but the forums show all the members that are currently online.

Classifieds is only going to show members viewing the classifieds not the forum

Yes, I understand this. I had a friend of mine login adn was on the classifieds, but his name was not listed under users browsing the ads. All it liste was 1 unregistered user, which was me since I was not logged in.

I just think he maybe should hit refresh etc. I show no issues with this. If I am logged in I show my name as logged in

But only your name will show as logged in, it will not show you others that are logged in. I cannot currently see anyone but myseelf who is logged in, but I know my friend is currently logged in. And his screen only shows himself as logged in.

I will have to look at it but thus far I dont see this on any install I am looking at

I am getting the same problem but with PhotoPost. We were running it on a shared server and "Users browsing the gallery" worked. Then we moved it to a dedicated server and now it only shows the name of the person looking at it - i.e. when I look at the gallery, I see that I am the only user. When my husband looks from his computer, he sees that there is only one unregistered user. Usually I have 20 or so people viewing the gallery.

It is happening on both galleries that I moved to our dedicated server:

We are not using the most recent version of PhotoPost.

It might be that the classifieds only shows members on the list that have an active ad posted.

No all our products show users who are online in our products not the forum. Thats how it works.

when someone is on the classifieds index and logged in, on their computer it shows their username but on my computer when im on the classifieds index it shows them as an unregistered user.

You can try replacing the update_whosonline function in pp-inc.php with this and see what it does for you

We tried applying the suggested fix, but without success. In our Photopost version, the update_whoonline function is called from the pp-inc.php file, but is not defined there. It appears to be using the function in the included file, forums\photopost.php. We replaced the original version of update_whoonline in the forums\photopost.php file with the replacement version, but it still displays only the one user.

We're on PhotoPost 5.21, PHP Version 5.1.6. And this worked fine until we moved our whole site to a new dedicated server.

The fix posted is for the 5.5 release; not the 5.21 release.

We are going to upgrade, but can't right now. This worked before with the same software when we were on a shared server. Any idea of why it is not working now? Something to do with our server setup? Or the different version of PHP?

Same problem in a fresh install with PhotoPost Classifieds 2.6 Beta 2.

I don´t change the original code. Buy the script, install whith integration to vB3 and add a new language.

Login with 3 users in 3 difrent PC. The 3 users play with classifieds at same time.

I just see 1 user online in any computer.

What I do wrong? In foruns all work fine. Problems with my server?
