Make sure the database info entered for the members database is correct. it would appear your forum database info was entered incorrectly on the config step.

The database details are entered correctly and with a prefix cp_
I can see all tables in the database together with my form tables. I entered details in the first section of details to my forum database. And the second set of details are left as they were.

You need to on config enter in the first section the database info for the classifieds database and the second section is that of your forum database they can be the same if you want but they both must be filled out correctly. With your error above this has not been done hense you can not connect to the members database cause the info is wrong

Ah, ok..... I thought it was only the first section because it says in the second sec. that *User Database Host (enter same info as above if not integrating with a third party forum)* , I guess I misunderstood this part .

Thanks Chuck, will try right away.

Yep both sections need to be filled out if they are the same you enter the same info as above if using one database. The reason for separate connect info enables you to have separate databases for photopost and the forum otherwise you would need to install photopost in the same database as the forum

Database issue

Hi Chuck

If you remember, I didn't have safe mode off on my server, so I want to move the Photo Clssifieds to another server.... and my questions is can I do this and have a new domain name for the PHP Classifieds but still connect to my original forum database on the old domain? and is there anything I should we careful of if doing so ?

I got everything working without safe mode OFF except for the Upload Feature as I get errors saying something like this *cannot upload images due to safe mode issue* along those lines....

well only way for you to connect to a forum on another server as I posted is for you to have access to that database. hense if this is external on another server your forum database would need to allow external mysql connections and you need to setup an external user and use that info in photopost.
