Without Cat Icons Index Layout is broke

I don't have any Category Icons in my Classifieds install. But when I turn off that option in the admin cp it messes up the layout of the Index page. It makes the tables parse incorrectly on the "contains ads= no" category title bars by putting the category labels on the second cell of each row.

I looked at the HTML of the rendered page and it's missing a </td> but it seems to only apply to the "non-ad" categories.

When I turn the Cat Icons on the problem goes away, but I have a blanck cell on EVERY row.

Where would I look to fix this problem? Which template and where in the template?

Interesting I turn off cat avatars and it displays fine. I have looked over the template and there appears to be no issues.

categories template from your description as your talking about the index page
