Understood.

For reasons that are beyond the scope of this post, I have disabled sendmail from my *nix server where the classifieds are hosted. Hence the built-in "mail" features didn't work for me.

No biggie, all is well.

Yep you need sendmail as those threads you noted stated in a nix environment. Yeah a few more admin options and I could potentially make a switch to allow sendmail or smtp

want me to write it and send it to ya?

it would require an update to the database and I'm not sure it's worth the hassle unless you have another build to release at the same time.

i say leave it as is... you probably have bigger fish to fry and, I already fixed my problem and I don't see anyone else complaining so... lets not fix something that ain't broke yet heh
