where to find international zip code data

Does anyone know where I could locate zip code data for non-US countries?

Thanks Chuck -- the Canadian zipcodes were actually the ones that were asked for. Can you post a link?

All you need to do is do a search for canadian zipcode and you will see many links

They are quite expensive and I dont know of which ones are compatible with our app or not. You can look at the upgrade file to look at the structure of our zipcode table.

Yeah figured I would meantion that since I know the one we got was for free hense we could distribute it. You should be able to find one relatively cheap. Just look at how they store the data and look at our table format. You may need to play with the excel file they give you to match the columns of data so that you can import it into our zipdata table. I bought a commercially available us zipcode database and I had to do that.

OK, thanks, I have been researching this.

I contacted the Canadian Postal Service. They don't make the data available, but they do have a list of pre-approved companies that do. None of the companies on their approved list could provide what I wanted. However, ZipCodeWorld.com does have the Canadian lat/long postal data, at this link: http://zipcodeworld.com/postalcodepremium.htm .

Another related question: How old is the US postal code data with which the software ships? One of my users is reporting that the "distance to you" numbers are way off for him? My thought was that perhaps the data was out of date?

Well the one provided with our product is a FREE ONE which we can distribute. I myself bought one to use with the program on my site for like $40.00. So your mileage is going to very as far as results. You get what you expect from a FREEBIE. We do not guarantee the results given.
