accents

Hi.

I did install without problem classifieds with IPB V2.3. We are in France and use accents. Everything is OK with IPB the accents are fine. Classified use the same database as recommended with the prefix pp_. Everything seems to be ok but we have for instance "Pièces" instead of "Pièces" and so on.
The server is dedicated and we do not have accents problems with the others programs.

IPB and Classifieds are on the same web site so the entire configuration is the same.

I did search without success in the forum for such a problem.

Could someone help? I'm not a Php or MySql specialist so please if you have an idea could you explain how to solve with some details?

In your pp-inc.php file find this at line 346

$contentmeta = "<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=iso-8859-1\" />";

change to this

$contentmeta = "<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=UTF-8\" />";
