| Cant get ImageMagick to work
Ok, so I figured out that I could not apply water marks using GD1, so I installed ImageMagic (per the downloads and instructions found here). The install seemed to go without a problem. But now, when I set my config to use ImageMagick and try to ad a new ad (even with watermarks=NO), I get the following error:
Warning: unlink failed (no such file of directory) in /home/XXXXX/XXXX/image-inc.php on line 287
Then in the center of the screen it says "Error Creating Resized Original".
I did go into the config-inc.php file and edit my path to mogrify:
$mogrify_command = "/home/XXXXXX/imagemagick/ImageMagick-5.3.8/utilities/mogrify";
(and the file mogrify is in that directory).
From what little I can figure out, the file "$outthumb" must be missing, which is why the unlink is not working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have it set back to use GD1 until I can figure this out,
Thanks,
Basil

Hi..
Looks like a permissions problem to me, you must have the right permissions to run the mogify executable and also check the directory permissions, chuck is a wiz with IM he may be able to help you further, can you not try GD2?

Couple issues here to check.
1. Check your data directory permissions and path statements you have for everything.
Next this
"/home/XXXXXX/imagemagick/ImageMagick-5.3.8/utilities/mogrify";
Thats just way old. Try making the new Imagemagick-6.2.3 available from the imagemagick site.
I have asked Scott to update the sites ImageMagick to reflect a newer version so users do not try to install such an old version

Thanks for the respoonse,
Fixed it:
What was weird is that if resize option wasnt it set it worked (rotate and all) so I know that mogrify was there and probably working???
So after you said permissions I went back and looked and noticed that my subdirectories 1 & 2 werent even there. But 3 thru 10 were????
So I did a fresh install of PPC into another directory (including all the chmodding that were in the instructions, 1 & 2 were there)
Then...
I placed an ad, it errored out as expected, went and looked, directories 1 & 2 were gone and directory 3 was created?
I went back and manually created directories 1 & 2, chmodded them 777, created under each a direcory a "large" & "thumbnail" directory, chmodded them as well, placed the blank index.html in all of them and now it works.
I just unzipped the original PPC zip file and the 1 & 2 subs were there, so I have no idea how between the unzipping to the uploading to the configuring, to the placing of the ad they were lost???
Ill accept that this was probably some disconnect on my end, alhough at no point did I manually delete those directories.
If you are reading this post wiith the same problems, triple check that 1 & 2 exist under the data directory - that they each have a large and thumbs directory under them and that all are 777.
So my thanks to Chuck for being so patient, take care...

Make sure to redownload the build to have the latest files and yes there is a data 1 and data 2 directory with large and thumbs directories
Large and thumbs directories are created when adding upgrading when you upgrade your install.
