forums/vb3.php on line 28 error in admin

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/talkabou/public_html/classy/forums/vb3.php on line 28

Been searching these forums since this am and it's now 1:30. Can someone please help? I've installed and integrated classifieds w/ vb on 2 other sites without these type of errors..so you can see I'm baffled. Installed this fresh 3 times now and get same error above. The vb forum is bran new...just installed last night!

I found two other threads about forums/vb3.php errors...the fix was creating tables that did not get created durin install - iponline table. I have that table, so I don't know what would fix my issue above. Any ideas?

All paths are correct and I've even fixed places in the database that had wrong settings under settings...not sure why they didn't get written to the database.

Classifieds is in it's own database but shares users with vb.

Thanks for your time and your help....trust me...it's much appreciated!

Error above is in admin area.

Error below is on the classifieds front page, incase this helps:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in hometalkaboupublic_htmlclassyforumsvb3.php on line 28

Strange no slashes in this error?

This is similar except I have checked the right settings for vb:

Well, line 28 is simply trying to lookup a user - are you sure you have the user database set to point to your vB3 database?

I feel like such an idiot! I've been trying to fix this all day. And guess what? You are right!
I have 4 databases and I actually jotted down the wrong one for the user integration in config. Somebody smack me over the head! Gosh!

Thanks a bunches! If you didn't mention 28 has to do with users, I would have never looked at that again as I was certain the db settings were all correct. You are the bestest! Thank you and enjoy your day ;)

Good to hear - trust me, I do that all the time.... ;)

That makes me feel better ;) knowing I'm not the only one.
I think it stems from being overworked and underpaid ;)
Have a splendid day...
