How to force users to use 'Sold it'

In the Admin of PPC there's a setting to 'Allow users to move/delete their own images?' but is there a way to prevent users from deleting their ads, not just their images? Or at least make them list an ad as 'Sold it' for a preset period of time?

I'd like more users to use the 'Sold It' feature so the Stats on the homepage are more accurate to sales that are taking place. Many users are selling items and deleting their ads which don't reflect as well as it could on overall sale results that are taking place on my website.
Thank you.

Allow users to move/delete their own images?

set that to no as there is no way to force users to press sold it

Yeah, I understand this problem. What I want is for the ads to be marked as SOLD instead of just being deleted. But many users will have a good reason to actually delete their ad, and it might not be sold. I tried turning off the move/delete option (honestly this would be a WHOLE lot more useful if it was an option that could be controlled by usergroup rather then a global option) and nearly had a revolt on my hands! And quite honestly the move/delete option should be separated. I may want to allow the users to move their ads but NOT delete them.
