zipcode data

Hello
I'm about to buy PP Classified, but want to know few things before.
I allready asked for french support language.
Now I was wondering if I will be able to adapt zipcode data to work with french or european zipcodes...

Regards.

We havent had any french language files provided to us, so we don't have any.

To work with french zip codes, you would need a database similiar to the one we have for US which provides a list of zip code along with longitute and latitude coordinates. It is certainly do'able with the right data, but I haven't ever worked with french zip codes to tell you exactly how or where to get the data.

If you can get those 3 details yes (i've done it with UK postcodes), however if the french zip codes have letters in them (or some start with a 0) you need to make a few code changes.

I already got told off for posting them here - so pm me if you need any help!

Ben

You where not told off Your code was removed and you where prompted to post on the modifcation site since support only deals with the normal coding of the software. Posting mods here would only confuse our users.

Fabs

As Ben and Michael both posted the way it works is by 3 fields described. A zipcode then the exact longitude and latitude the program then calculates the distance between those locations.
