Auction Style Bidding?

I put up a test auction and can't figure out how to bid. Is there a step that I am missing as far as setting up an auction? I went to the "demo" site for Viper stuff and couldn't figure it out there either.

Is there a doc that I can read?

Basically you go to admin edit categories and set a category to contain auctions.

Then when a user posts an ad they can select whether to allow bidding or not. If they set it to yes then you will see a bid button on the ad

Got it, the person placing the ad does not see the option to bid. I logged in a regular member and it worked fine...

How do I change the amount that a higher bid will have. Right now it is going to $25 more then the lowest bid. I want it to increase by $1.
