| Installation error: Blank screen on step 3
I have installed Classifieds v2.0 months ago & running well, although we haven't publish it to our members yet. Couple days ago, I decided to delete all 2.0 files incl. database and fresh install v2.11 before we announce it to our members.
After properly set up the config setting on step 1 and completed verification on step 2, I got blank screen when I clicked 'continue to step 3'. If I try to refresh, there are errors because the database already existed.
After I deleted all the tables related & repeat the whole process again, I still got the same blank screen after clicked 'continue to step 3'. Please help.
Thanks in advance

Open up the install.php file and delete the lines to import the zipData.sql
// Upload the zipcode data (if present)
$query = @file("zipData.sql");
for ( $x=0; $x < count($query); $x++) {
$iquery = $query[$x];
$iquery = str_replace( ";", "", $iquery );
$setup = mysql_query($iquery, $link);
if ( !$setup ) print "<b>Error: ".mysql_error()."</b><br />";
}
You can then run the upgrade.php and import zipcodes that way.

thanks omegatron. I'm not sure I'm following you on this. After I delete those lines then run the upgrade.php to import the zipcodes. Should I start the installation process after that or should the installation process be finished before that? Cause once the installation step finished, I got error message:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'apache@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/httpd/vhosts/chip.co.id/httpdocs/classifieds/install.php on line 899
I cannot connect to the Members database.
By the way, is there a link where I can read a complete instalation manual for PP Classifieds? Thanks again

Install Instructions above
Your mysql error is because you have not entered the proper mysql info
As far as the install yes do a normal full install. then you can run the upgrade to install the zipcodes
Seems some users still have issues trying to read that big zipdata file on install but upgrade works so deleting the lines stated lets you do a proper install

I managed to finalised the installation process & import the zipcodes properly. And I'm very sure to put 'bb' for the Forum Cookie Preefix, but still I can't login to admin page. Login succesfull but keep redirecting to login page. Thanks again, omegatron.
PS: I don't remember having all these problems when installing PPClassifieds 2.0 for the first time |

You would need to link your site and a login to see what you mean.

yes you would need to post or PM a login but if your integrating with vb3 and login does not work I would look at if you have the vb3 license number entered in config and also the cookie prefix has been entered when installing as bb
The cookie prefix is in settings table entry 182 I beleive

have pm you the login & password to my classifieds. I'm very sure the vb3 license number is correct. Looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks again omegatron.
