| Not recognized as Admin in new PP CLassifieds install with IPB 2.03 integration
I just installed Reviewpost, Photopost and PP Classifieds. PP Classifieds install went as smoothly as the first 2, but when I click on the link to adm-index.php, it tells me
"You are not a valid administrator or moderator!"
i do not have this problem with the other 2 scripts.
If someone can tell me how to rectify this problem, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks!

LOL sometimes I dont pay full attention to subject lines I read the persons post.
Okay with IBP 2.0.3 I dont see anything wrong with any code persay
If you have mysql database viewer view the usergroups table for classifieds and make sure admin line entry groupid 4 has cpaccess set to 1
Your best bet though is if your logged in and the other programs and forums recognize you and not classifieds is to check cookies as they are not aligned if that is the case

Thanks Chuck I set that using phpmyadmin and now I have admin access. whew! However, even when I sync the user groups with ipb, the user groups listed in classifieds admin panel are not in sync at all. i am admittedly clueless when it comes to these things so i am reluctant to just change the names in the database through phpmyadmin or through classifieds admin controls.
You can see in the screenshots below, the Photopost users all look right. The Classifieds users have some wrong names and are missing groups. Is there an easy and safe way to fix that? If it involves phpmyadmin, please accept my ignorance and provide detailed instructions on what i need to change there. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

what do you have set in the classifieds as your integration type? Looks to me like you selected internal is admin is coming across as 5 as our integration is the only one that has admin group as groupid5

I had IPB 2 selected as integration type when i ran the installer. I don't see a way to check that in the classifieds admin cp. some of those are my groups (vendors, mod squad), and it shows over 3000 members in the stats, which is correct based on my forum database, so it seems to be reading that aspect correctly.

The admin config option in classifieds do look different than the other 2 apps. where i expect to see pulldown menus, i see text entry fields - so ipb2 is a text entry, carried over from when i ran the installer i guess.

It still does not explain to me why your usergroups are named something else.
Plus if admin is 5 it still tells me your integrating with an internal install not ib2
Go back and check like I asked that setting 41 says ib2
Then delete every entry in pp_usergroups for classifieds database except admin one except change that to groupid of 4 not 5 as ib2 admin is usergroup 4
then do a usergroup resync from classifieds admin section

Setting 41? Where is setting 41? I don't see any prior reference from you regarding "setting 41". If you are referring to the installation setting, I did set it to IB2, just as it shows in the screenshot I posted above. It says IB2. And to clarify - SOME of the usergroups are named correctly and the correct number of users appear in the stats, so obviously somewhere it is communicating with my forums user database. Your internal system doesn't have usergroups named "vendors" or "mod squad" does it?
The instruction you are giving me assume that I know anything at all about mysql, which I've already explained that i don't. I know how to follow directions. If you provide me with clear directions, I will be grateful. But it sounds like you are getting angry with me when I just spent $300 on your products and am only asking for a tiny bit of assistance in fixing something that seems to have broken through no fault of mine.
When i spoke with you on the phone a few days ago, Chuck, you were helpful, which influenced my decision to make this purchase. I don't want to regret that decision. I appreciate your assistance, but please don't treat me like I am stupid for not knowing as much as you do about how these things work. Clearly I don't know those things or else I would need to ask for help to begin with.

Just like you used phpmyadmin view your settings table and check settings table entry number 41 and see what it is set to. It should be ib2
Please dont put words in my mouth saying I am getting angry or the like or treating you stupid. That gets no one anywhere
Basically as I have stated everything your showing me having the admin entry with a groupid of 5 leads me to think you have an internal install going on. An IBP2 admin has a groupid of 4. Something is not right in denmark and I am trying to help. You have stated you know nothing about mysql yet you have posted pictures of the usergroups table entry which to me tells me you know what I mean when I state go to your usergroups table and delete this and change that. http://www.photopost.com/members/for...tachmentid=304
As I stated delete every entry in the usergroups table of classifieds except admin and make that groupid 4.
If your using ib2 integration and your admin is indeed usergroup 4 which it should be in a default ib2 install then you will have a link. Go to usergroups editor and click refresh usergroups
Your usergroups should have the same name and order as the photopost install.
You can PM me your url and admin account if you want me to personally take a look.

Setting 41 in phpmyadmin settings table is set to ib2. screenshot attached.
Before I delete the usergroups, I want to make sure you understand that even my Admin group is not actually showing up in the usergroups list. My admin groups isn't called "administrator" - nowhere do I have a group with that name. My admin group is called "root." So the fact that you are saying the group ID is not correct, perhaps that is why.
I will PM you my login info. Thank you. I do appreciate the help.

Yes but what I am trying to understand and make you understand is with the screenshot you have provided you have set administrators usergroup cpaccess to 1 for groupid 5 which is not ibp admin so this is the issue.
