1.8.1 is the official upgrade to 1.8 which includes all of the fixes below and support for InvisionBoard v2.

A minor update to address some minor issues:

adm-main.php (change to use different news script)
catopts.php (change to accomidate users with register globals off)
pp-inc.php (version update, added gen_passwd)
showproduct.php (various updates)

templates/showproduct1.tmpl (added in comments code)
templates/showproduct2.tmpl (added in comments code)
templates/showproduct3.tmpl (added in comments code)

forums/* (all files have been updated, only need file with corresponds to your integration)

You only need upload these files which have changed. No other modifications are necessary.

Thanks for the update. Other than the Invision comment, I did not see any list of corrected issues. It would be helpful to know what issues are addressed so we can assess whether the upgrade is "worth doing" at this time.

For example, does this update correct the slashes issue, for example? or the Recent Ads bug or the Problem preventing siblings from having different ad categories

This would be helpful to know as it will help plan whether the fixes for the first two will need to be reworked for this release.

Yeah, I know it would be helpful and I try to accomidate everyone with every release; just sometimes I'm not as organized as I wish I was. Slashes were all added, as was the Recent Ad (FYI, when I post a fix, it means I added it to the codebase) and I still can't replicate the last problem with my install of the latest version.

I upgraded from 1.8c to 1.8.1 just uploading the files above and the version number hasn't changed - what file is it in? (I thought it was in adm-inc.php). I've compared and I've definately uploaded the correct files.

I downloaded again, re-unzipped into a fresh folder on my pc and uploaded, overwriting the files there. It still says 1.8c and the slashes are still showing. I don't get these problems upgrading Photopost.

well missing from the list is definately pp-inc.php as that file has most definately changed but it is not listed above

I've made no changes to the classifieds files so I'll update them all just in case. Thanks for the prompt response
