Admin Login Issues

I just got through installing the software and have run across a problem with logging in as admin. When I type my username and password (vb information), I get a "login successful" message and it begins to redirect. After the redirect I'm sent right back to the admin login panel where it once again asks for my username and password. Please advise...

--fixed the above issue--

Now here's another issue I'm currently having. When trying to log into the other admin areas (adm-options, etc) I'm getting a "You are not a valid Administrator!" error. I've tried all the admin logins we have for vb as well as id 1 login but it won't let me in. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jay

How did you fix this issue as I have the exact same problem with 2.1.

Classifieds picks me up from the vB database and recognises me. I can even place an ad. However when I click the admin link, I get a login prompt, I try to login, am told "login successful" but instead of going to my classifieds admin section, I get bounced back to the login prompt.

Something wierd, as my cookies must be on track for it to let me post an ad, so I checked my SQL setting and for usergroup 6 (administrators) cpaccess is set to 1 (which means "allow" I think).

So how come I'm in this login loop?

Use phpMyAdmin and go to your Classifieds "settings" table.

Look for ID = 181,182 and 183

Make sure your Values are correct and Section=13 (my was Section=12)
For 181, value= "/", section=13
For 182, value="bb" (or whatever you defined, same as PPPro), section=13
For 183, value=".mydomain.com" (where mydomain you be your actual domain name), section=13

Then, clear your browser cache, exit browser, and re-enter.

Works for me.
