checking for ads while will expire in 3 days...

Hello Chuck,

Since updating to 5.2.3 awhile back I have had "checking for ads while will expire in 3 days..." constantly displaying the the footer. I figured it was something new for this version.

Well today I had a member who's ad did not sell and he did not click on the link from his email to renew or mark ad sold and he has been flooded with about 30 emails in 8 hours.

This is also displayed in the footer now and should not be there.
"checking for ads while will expire in 3 days...

Email to: member@bellsouth.net [member] about ad 155: [member, your ad on Website Classifieds for Great Planes WACO ARF - Needs some work is going to expire in 2 days. If you have not sold your product and wish to renew your ad for an additional 30 days, please click on the link below: Login - Website Classifieds If you have sold your item, please let us know by clicking on this link: Login - Website Classifieds Thank you!]"

Can you shed some light on this for me and what I can do to fix?

Thanks

WD

In cron.php remove the two print statements towards the bottom.

These will be removed in 5.3. No idea how they snuck back in that file to begin with.

Yep those lines are basically debug lines. They are part of sendnotice.php but are not suppose to be in cron.php which is a file that runs silently in the site footer where as the previous file is a server cron task.

Give me any of your thoughts here looking for some fresh ideas. Not really wanting 5.3 to be a vb5 only release.
