XML feed no longer works

I recently upgraded to 5.2 from 5.0 and my XML feed no longer works. I'm exporting a feed to an external classified ads aggregation site. The PHP file now displays an empty page.

By XML file are meaning the xml feed you generate to install plugin content into vbulletin?

Or are you talking the Classifieds rss feed?

Classifieds RSS feed.

Omegatron.net

Reeftalk.com

You have an example I see no issues using the latest rss feed nor have there been any changes in that script for a few versions really. I do not beleive that script other than changing the version number has changed since it was reworked in the 4 series. It is a self contained script.

Remember if you do not allow guests to view content they will not be able to view content in the rss script.

Have you had a chance to make sure your running the latest file and if you still have an issue send info so we may assist you?

Still can't make it work. I think the syntax has changed so I'll have to figure it out.

well providing a url so we actually can see your site will help us at least.

Not sure what your talking about syntax. The rss script is as I posted in my post.

NM. Got it work already. Tried a fresh rewrite of my desired code based on the new external.php.

Chuck S September 19th, 2012 11:13 AM

Not a problem obviously I can only support and respond on our actual released code and as this thread showed this does work so maybe either something to do with your edit or using old code. Either way your fixed it so let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

Has anybody got RSS feed working with Vbulletin 4? I can set up a feed ok but it will not post the feed to a new thread.

Chuck S November 29th, 2012 08:54 AM

Have you asked at vbulletin.org about any type of parameters about that script or requirements about that script?

Feed Validator Results: http

Our rss feed is a 100% valid rss feed for feed readers. As to how vbulletin handles there scripting I can not say.
