rss feed problem
 

scenario:
vb4 with latest classifieds.
using classifieds rss feed to populate a forum.

problem:
when an existing ad is edited in the classifieds, the rss feed shows it as "new".
then the rss feeder to the forums reposts it as a new thread.

so, now i have several threads that are of the same item, just edited, in the forum. its clogging up the new posts function, and "some" users seem to be exploiting it, making the situation even worse.

any ideas on how to fix this?

i also just noticed these are also getting reposted via rss when the item is marked as sold...

I can not diagnose issues with how your forums RSS feed reader works as that is not part of our program. Our RSS feed is valid and our rss feed only shows active ads not sold ads.

If you view our rss feed you should see the latest 50 active ads. What data vbulletin inserts into your forum all depends on how they translate things.
