q's- descr. formatting? copy templates?

I was thinking that formatting was available for the description field, but it is not showing up. How can I turn it on?

----

Admin > Edit Ad Types ... I see they match with the > Edit Templates > uploadproductX.tmpl. I have added .tmpl copied files for 5.tmpl and 6.tmpl. But they are not showing up in the >Edit Templates> so I can alter them for the new Edit Ad Types I added. How should this work?

----

Also, what do you recommend for the setting for "Minutes to cache index page data for featured ads, statistics and PALs? Number of minutes to cache information. Default is 10 minutes, 0 means no caching." Default is 0

thanks

1. not really sure what your trying to say there

2. you would create a new ad type and as per the other thread we discussed this you would follow the tutorial I linked you to create your custom templates and upload them to the proper templates folder.

3. Most people use 10 if they use the category cache.

thx

For the first question ... when creating an ad, the description field does not have the edit buttons in the upper frame of the edit box. For bold, italic, fonts, and so forth - they are not showing up to allow the user to format the description text. I thought that would be available.

You can in admin options in admin set the wysiwyg editor to basic or advanced there.

It is set to advanced, but the formatting buttons are not showing. Is there an edit I need to make somewhere?

I really have no idea what you mean as there are buttons for that. You can set it to basic and see if that box type is more suitable for you.

OK I set it to 'basic' and the formatting frame appeared for the description. I don't know what to call the formatting area around the description.

I am wondering if there is anything that will give the option to click to apply colors and different font faces such as Arial, Times New Roman, etc. Without having to know coding to format.

The formats are what I have already explained. there are no other options other than what is offered in the applications.
