"Auction style bidding" Help me understand what function this is, and how it works? I see the ability to designate "offers." Can bidders submit bids in the ad itself? Does the ad track bids, show the latest high bid? I did not see this. Does this refer only the the ad type "offers," and the seller receives and tracks the bids (offers) offline? Thanks ... |
I found the Category setting to "allow bidding." When I entered a test ad, I found the checkbox to "allow users to bid," and the reserve price. When I view the ad, I can't see where viewers can submit bids. When I edit the ad, I can't find a setting for "allow bids." I also entered a "buy it now" price ... the idea is that a viewer can either enter a bid, or they can simply purchase at the buy-it-now price. Am I missing something - where do the viewers submit bids? thx Breyer Heartland Equality - Blab Classifieds |
You need to login as a test user whom did not post the ad to be able to bid or see the buy it now function your trying to view your ad as the user who posted it so you will not see anything. allow bidding means an auction kind of like ebay. |
Brilliant. B=0 :D I tried a few different bid scenarios, and it works very well. :):):) You can't imagine how thrilled my forum members will be. They are going crazy paying eBay fees. eBay has some good protection services ... but for many smaller items, the abundant services and the high fees aren't necessary. |
