Template Check

In VBulletin there is a tool in the admin panel that you can use to determine if all your templates are correct and the right version for the version of VBulletin that you are running.

Is there any way to verify templates in the classifieds? i have done a number of updates over the years. If I remember correctly, there have been one or two times when it was stated to just upload the new files and no reason to run an upgrade script.

I am concerned that I may have uploaded files at one time or another and not run the upload script when I should have. So maybe I have some templates that are not correct for version 4.2. Is there any way to tell?

No there is not because we do not store the template files in the database. That is why vbulletin can tell you that.

The safest way to ensure you are running all current code is to upload everything in the downloaded package except the 2 config files and install.php and upgrade.php files.

Yes, I've already uploaded all the latest files. Don't you have to run either install or upgrade to make sure that all the templates are current? If so, if you missed actually running "upgrade" at some point over the years, how would one determine which of the upgrade scripts to run. Example...say that somebody installed the files for version 3.5 but didn't run the upgrade script but later ran 4.2, would they want to run 3.5 to 4.2 or 4.1 to 4.2 or what?

if you did not run an upgrade script you would be getting errors or your install would be dead depending on your specific problem.

The upgrades one runs are all dependent on what version they where last running before they upgraded.

If your site is operational and you have uploaded all the current files then you should be running a completely functional base install.
