As far as number 5 I answered that but if your referring to editing an existing ad no you can only add an image through an http prompt.
Processing images from a server path is only available on upload script. | Please re-read my last post and middle attachment above regarding #5. I don't believe you responded to my full question. I cannot bulk upload ANY photos using the approval with show thumbnails option.
As far as the other issue regarding sorts parameters being lost on the second page of sorted items, let me rephrase. I have that issue, just as the previous questioner. Please provide a resolution.

Please provide an example url showing such an issue?
You state you want to add pictures to an ad after its uploaded via a bulk way and my answer is you can not. You can upload one at a time through the http prompts on the edit page. On the upload page you can tick a box to bulk upload images you have already uploaded to your uploads directory that is how the normal bulk upload works.
I uploaded 4 images and it created 4 ads like it is suppose to do bulk wise Main Index - PhotoPost Classifieds |

Ok let’s try one more time.
From my post #17 5) My question is not whether an admin can add photos to an existing ad. The question is can an admin add to an existing ad photos that are already stored in another directory on the server rather than uploading them all again from the PC? While playing with the bulk upload I ran into something else. If I check the top box in bulk upload area to “Skip upload and process the files” which I have already placed in the directory specified, the second attached screen shot is the result. Hitting the Process Files button flashes “Processing Image List” on a blank screen and returns directly to the screen in the attachment. No thumbnails, and no links are on the page shown.

I clarified in post #21: I cannot bulk upload ANY photos using the approval with show thumbnails option.
Ok, you answered the first part in italics but did not respond to the second parts which are in bold. After the image in the middle attachment to post #17 appeared, the upload feature ceased to work at all.
From your post # 22
Please provide an example url showing such an issue?
I cannot provided a url to my site in the open as it links to a test copy of vB installed in a password protected directory. If you want, I can PM the logon info. However, the site link in post #1286775 on April 22nd, 2011 exactly illustrates the issue I am seeing on my site. It only occurs in categories that have enough ads to run past one page which by default is 12 items. Try adding at least 15 items, each with say a different price, to any one category on reeftalk. Do a category sort by price. Go to the second page of items and you will see that the items on that page are NOT sorted by price.

The bulk uploading works as noted. If your having upload issues you can send us any relative site date through the contact us link and I can look at that tomorow as I would need more info other than upload doesnt work. I definately need to see your issue.

| Line Breaks in Showproduct
I have the WYSIWYG Editor set to off.
How do I get rid of the extra spaces (br) in the showproduct page description?
Users tend to use Enter (return) key to add line brakes in the description to make their text look right, like in the attached file. The result on the showproduct page is shown in the other jpeg. Looking around the web at other Photopost Classified sites, this seems to be a common occurance.
The generated html of the description is: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
I want to strip out one of each pair of br's.

From your code, I saw that you assumed that it was ON, so I checked that setting in my control panel. I thought I had it set to ON but it was not. When I tried to change it to ON, the change would not save. I had to manually edit config-intc.php even though it's permissions were already set at 777. (Thinking back, I remember also having to manually add the slash to the end of the data directory url which would not save from the cp.)
Once I edited config-intc.php, the showproduct view is like I want it with no extra line breaks.
Thanks for the help. Even though I did not have to use your code change to get what I wanted, it headed me in the right direction. |
