Euros price, help

Hi,
I have problems to insert ads in the euro price. For example if I type 5.000,00, I apper in the display ad 500. How can I do? I'm putting correcting 5000.00, but it makes me appear to 5,000.00 but it is obviously not correct!
Thanks in advance
Rik

It should display as noted

test - PhotoPost Classifieds

All I did was pick euro and enter 5000.00

what are you saying it should be? I guess I am not understanding your english. Your saying yours shows 500 but I showed in my example it shows 5000.00

please tell me how do I push back and see € 5.000,00 or only € 5.000, instead of 5,000.00

well I would need to investigate how the currencies are suppose to be displayed online correctly. I know when I created the currencies how we display it is how I show online it is suppose to be displayed. There are various currency formats in the application with each type using a specific display based on what information I find online.

I think what Ricsca means is the different display of commas and decimals in different countries.

For example, in your test ad, €5,000.00 is the incorrect format. In Europe, they use a period as a thousands separator and a comma for decimals. So the correct display in Europe is €5.000,00

The problem is Wulf globally I have seen contradicting info about this. Alot of European sites show currency like 5,000 and some may do 5.000

Right now in classifieds there are 4 different currency formats based on the currency formats we support.

This is a relative easy mod in showcat and showproduct php files you have a line like so for $ctype is 1

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
The last variable is empty being '' whereas if you add a period you will get what you want as noted in my example above '.'

Yeah, it can be very confusing with all those different formats worldwide and I can imagine it's a major hassle for software developers. The display of the number is not really the problem but the number entry with decimal separator is. For example, 12.34 vs 12,34

feel free to try out what I posted above.
