Clean up the DATA directory

How do I clean up the DATA directory? Total disk space used by the DATA directory keeps increasing even though I have deleted ads that are expired.

actual images used by ads should be deleted when an ad is actually deleted.

what version of the script are you using? if you go to admin approve ads and check the expired que what is there?

I am using 4.1

In the expired queue, there are ads that are "SOLD" but not reached the 30 days limit yet.

Hello

Our admin code has code that if ads are expired over 2 weeks they are deleted that is if you have not altered it. Anyway I think you will find if you clear out your expired que that the resulting images in the data directory are indeed deleted.

I got worried cos the DATA folder is growing to over 3GB. Will monitor if the deleted ads will clear the corresponding images in the DATA folder.

well the only way our program would not be able to delete images is if your permissions where not right meaning your server did not allow it. we definately issue the proper coding.
