contact form

I use Classiefieds in a VB system and only registered users can take contact.

In the contact form we see

1) Titel of the ad (it is not possible to change the titel)
2) Registered mail adress ( it is possible to change the adress)
3) Textarea

Is it possible that in the contact form also appears the user name of the person who wants to have contact?
And is it possible that the username will also send via mail to the advertiser (like the other three points)?

If not, is it possible to disable the possibility to change the mail adress in the contact form?

Thank you.

You would have to edit the script to do anything you wish above as the script is coded to be as it is.

I can tell you easily to disable the input of another email address you can change the line in contact template from this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
to this

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

Thank you very much, Chuck!

It would be very great if you find a way to submit the registration name in the mail.

But now.... have a nice weekend!

There's a code fix floating around here somewhere that just replaces the email contact form with the vb PM form. Works much better on vb systems. It should probably be stickied somewhere but I don't think it is.

I think this is it: http://www.photopost.com/forum/class...ml#post1274795

Thank you! This would be a good possibility if the title of the add would be automatically transfered in the PN subject.

It looks like the name and link is in the body anyway. That's enough so that the contactee knows which ad is being responded to. If the contactor should forget mid-PM, I suppose they could always go back and look.

Nothing is put into the pm body thats a simply link change to bypass our code and take you to vb. Further discussion can be made about mods in the MOD CORNER.

Okay, correct. But outside the VB PM system... there must be a possibility to put in the VB username in the Classifieds mail.

This will be submitted:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
No chance to put in the sender?

I dunno, but on almost any shared server these days virtually nobody can send email anyway. We found every single attempted classified contact email in the dead letter box "no relaying allowed". It's been that way for a couple years now - an anti-spam measure.

Most servers allow email so not sure about the validity of your comment Videx. I know I am on a shared vds site and have installed the scripts on many hosting environments and all allow email. Only the most restrictive of hosting accounts disable email.

Mike simply place another line in that file like so in bold

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
