Number of ads?

Is there a variable, or an expression I can use in vBulletin 4 html coding, where I can test if a member (using his userid) has any ads in Photopost Classifieds or not.

In other words, if his ad count is greater than 0, then I display a link to his ads. If his ad count = 0 then I don't display a link to Photopost Classifieds.

I'm trying to find the variable that I can test within vb4 to determine that?

being that your talking vbulletin you would need to create some vb4 plugin to do such activities. variables such as that need to be queried for and defined by code.

I ask because I notice that the add-on plugin you wrote (see pic) shows a vBulletin field in the vBulletin member's profile with the quantity of ads.

It's that field value variable I was looking for to test against?

Am I missing something?

well that variable you refer to is a plugin written for the members profile page. It is not part of the supported application released by our company.

As noted if your trying to do anything in vbulletin you actually need to write a vb plugin to do that much like the plugins your referring to that do other things in vb that I wrote up free for users to use.

I realize that it needs to be a plugin and that's what it is. It simply puts a link in the postbit template of a user's post to create a link to the Photopost Classifieds for that member. In essence, it's equivalent to the "My Ads" function and it's running right now on our forums and works very well, except for one cosmetic element.

The link shows all the time and I thought it kind of a waste if the member didn't have any ads in Photopost Classifieds, so all I was looking for was to qualify the code which shows the link to NOT show it, if the user had 0 ads.
