How do I turn off all the auction features? I don't want any auction features in my Classified section. How do I turn all of that off so the user doesn't see any of it when creating new ads? In my site all I want is people to be able to list an asking price. |
In admin edit categories simply where it says allow bidding set that to no for all categories. |

Yet when a user places an ad they still see.... If this is an auction you may enter a reserve price and if your auction price is not equal or greater to this price your auction will automatically be relisted. (Numbers only!):: |
Thats the reserve price not an auction enable thing. If they dont see the allow bidding switch which they cant have an auction |

I think that's going to confuse my visitors. (it confuses me even still) |
Chuck is this normal.... In my Classified admin at the top it says.... Classifieds 3.13 Update! more info - quick link to Members Area Yet just underneath that it says the current version is... 4.03 What version am I REALLY running? Did I do something wrong in the install? |
No I have to have them update the news script thats normal |
So... since I have auctions turned off is there any way to remove the field that says.... If this is an auction you may enter a reserve price and if your auction price is not equal or greater to this price your auction will automatically be relisted. (Numbers only!):With auctions turned off the listing cannot be an auction therefore this entry field is highly confusing. Thanks in advance for your help. |
Not without altering the code in the actual uploadproduct template in regards to the reslimit code. |
Just to make sure again: Auction is turned off, but if I don't want these two fields: Quote:
PS: - The same applies for the two paypal fields? - How about the editproduct.tmpl? - What should I search for - reslimit and ...? |
You would edit those templates yes and reslimit and maybe reserve variables |
Yep, works great! Thanks and have a nice day! |
You too enjoy your day |
