Changing thumbnail sizes

I would like to increase thumbnail sizes. It appears this is done through the admin control panel with the "Thumbnail image max width and height in pixels" option setting?

Assuming this is the case, is there any way to rebuild thumbnails for existing listings? (I want larger images to show in the recent/random ad areas.)

A different, but related question... about image resizing. I started with a picture that is 600x399. The super size image when I click supersize is only 400x266....which is the same size I have the preview image set to. Shouldn't the supersize be the original size of 600x399?

The supersize will be whatever size you set the supersize setting to in admin

I have it set to 900...should it then have left the image alone if it was 600x399?

What is the Maximum php file size setting? Is that looking for the maximum bytes an image file can be?

its not going to change old ads you had other settings with if thats your issue.

If you have supersize set to 900 as the threshold and you upload a photo for an ad the supersize image if it is more than the 900 threshold will be resized down otherwise it will simply be the size it is.

I rebuilt previews and somehow the supersize started to work with the correct size ...so that one is good now. (I won't question why)

I assume to get the larger thumbnails to appear on the recent/random sidecolumn type areas I will need to edit the PAL file?

well then your dealing with your own browser settings then. Make sure that you elect to always show the current page not a cached one from your browser settings.
