External.php with RSS2HTML

I am trying to upgrade my site to PP Classifieds 4.0 and am almost done.
Weird thing is that the old rss.php I was using with RSS2HTML only shows old ads. Any new ads don't show up.
When I try to use external with RSS2HTML no items show up, just the top of the template. I pass a single category to the program using this type of call:
http://www.timesharegateway.com/rss/.../rss2/cat/5027
I don't have external.php available publicly, but when I replace the XMLFILE with the new script, this stops working. Actually it displays the top portion of the template, but no items.
Is there anything special needed to get external.php to work with RSS2HTML?

external.php should work fine but it does not display anything because your classifieds is empty

That is my mistake. I placed external.php on the production system (earlier version) as a test and forgot to remove it. I have since taken it down. The only place to check this out is on my test server to which I have sent you the information to access via email.

well I am not really sure what your asking here to be honest.

I can call that in an rss feed reader without fail

If your trying to discuss a mod your doing since our program has no files called the names your using you might want to open up a modification discussion since this kind of stuff is not covered under product support.

The files your noting are not part of our released code. I havent worked with rss2html too much so I doubt I could shed too much light on a program I havent used.
