To setup payment for an ad you need to set payment settings in payment settings in admin as well as edit categories set a payment amount and also in edit usergroups set which usergroups require payment.

I notice you did not talk about setting usergroup permissions above.

The thing is i want to have just few categories from my adds to require payment and the rest of them to be free.
I have done payment settings in the admin panel and edited few of my categories, but how to do just few of them to be paid and the rest to be free?

That is easy

The permissions work just like category permissions.

You must set the global usergroup permission to allow payment to yes for whatever usergroup you want to collect payment from. If thats set to NO you are never going to have to pay.

You then of course set up payment settings example to use paypal and enter your paypal email in admin

You then set up payment amounts on categories you wish to collect payment for. If a category has no payment amount it is free to post ads there.

Your definately doing something wrong because payment is only asked for when you set usergroup payment to yes and also category payment amount to something more than 0

There are also category permissions for groups that you can define to pay or not as well as setting a category price

I made my registered users to pay for ads, i made two of my categories to require payment and i made the payment to be £1 per add.
I created a test user and loged in in my website as him.
I started posting the ad, told me before i publish it i need to pay £1 i agreed pressed the button and i went to the pay pal website but did not log in to pay and i found the add is published.
But i did not pay for it.

You as admin can view all ads

Now you send admin login through the contact us link to check how you have things set

Your regular user login does not work
