Question How do I uninstall PhotoPost 6.23???

OK... I spent exactly 60 minutes searching an answer on these forums, within my PhotoPost documentation, and with my friend Google, and found NOTHING at all, apart from a post saying that the install script of vbGallery has an uninstall option.

Well... My install script of PhotoPost 6.23 doesn't have anything.

Here is my problem: I upgraded my vB 3.8 to 4.0 without removing PhotoPost. Result: my vb 4.0 is now all f***ed up and I am getting SQL errors. I ran a comparison tool on the database, and all the tables/fields that could be the source of the errors are PhotoPost related.

So my next step would obviously be to try to uninstall PP, but I don't want to simply delete fields/tables from the database and files/folders from my site. Isn't there an uninstall script that cleans up everything???

Thanks.

EDIT: great, I was so pissed off that I posted this thread in the Classifieds sub-forum. Bummer!

You aren't going to have errors in your vbulletin forum caused by photopost pro thats just a fact. Our code does not interact with vbulletin on the vbulletin side at all. You must be having some mod/hack issues if your have supposed photopost errors when viewing your forum. If thats the case you need to uninstall those hack plugins in vbulletin plugin manager because as stated photopost code is not rendered in vbulletin unless your running plugins.

Photopost Pro 6.23 you can simply upgrade to Pro 7.01 to be compatible with vb4. If you really want to remove it which would make you lose all your content on the gallery you would delete the photopost directory and the photopost database tables but if your having mod issues like I posted above doing thats not going to solve your issues.

Please post what exactly your error is so I might be able to point you in the right area.

I run a vb4 photopost pro site here

Thank you Chuck for your long reply.

I got the help of a friend and removed all tables from the db, and all files from the server. I had no other product plugged to my vB besides vBadvanced, which I had uninstalled correctly.

I deleted all my vB files and reuploaded everything, re-ran vB install and repair scripts on the db, and now everything looks fine.

I will be installing PP 7.01, but I will make sure I read the technical docs in detail so I know what exactly happens on installation

Not a problem just had to point out the obvious for you

Technically speaking as I said we dont interface with vbulletin directly ever. We load the vb header footer and style that's it. On the vbulletin side they dont even know our program is installed because we do not alter the vb files or database in any manner.
