user different domain other than the forum one?

Is it possible to host the classifieds on another server and domain but share user registration info?

Server and domian # runs forum

Server 2 and domain runs Classifieds.

But they share the same user login and password. nothing else.

Is this possible?

Yes as long as your forum database allows EXTERNAL MYSQL CONNECTIONS and you input the correct mysql info to connect to it the answer is yes. Just remember two things.

1. if your using vbulletin you cant use the enhanced integration.

2. your not going to have a one sign on integrated login because there are two different domain names whereas cookies only work on one domain. so the users would have to login to each application.
