How to buy

I have been using the classified system mostly for job postings, but would also like to be able to let users sell items.

I know it sounds crazy, but I have no idea how to buy something.
I created a test add, it uses the For Sale template.
I set the price at $1.
I logged in as a test user, and can not find anywhere to buy the item. I even set it so guests can use But It Now.

The only options I see as the test user are:
Add to Watch List
Post Comment
Report Product
Receive Email Updates

I am using the beta version.
Please guide me as to where I went wrong.

Thanks, Cliff

There are multiple things to consider

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
when placing the ad you need to set buy it now to yes fill out a buy price make sure to fill out your paypal email address.

Users should see a buy it now button then

See, I knew I'd feel silly.

That worked, but now I see something else of concern.
The test item was entered for a cost of $1 and $1 to ship.
I selected to buy 10 of the item, and the next page says
"The payment for this ad is $110.
You are buying 10 products at $1.00 + $10 Shipping Amount."

Shouldn't the total be $20?
Cost of item x number purchased = 1 x 10=10
Cost of shipping x number of items shipped = 1 x 10=10

The message even says I am buying 10 items for $1 each with a shipping cost of $10.

I will test that and see what I get

However you might want to check your buy it now price versus the price on the actual ad

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Looking at the code either your buy it now price or the price on the ad might be 10 dollars.

Asking price? (Numbers only, enter 0 for Best Offer):
Shipping Amount
You may enter a buy it now price to allow users to buy the product and end your ad or auction. (Numbers only!)::
If this is an auction you may enter a reserve price and if your auction price is not equal or greater to this price your auction will automatically be relisted. (Numbers only!)::
Currency
Quantity of Ads?

It seems likely I don't have these configured correctly.

Example if you don't allow bidding on a category I can see how you wont see the auction switch

However the buy it now is a simple input box in the for sale template

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
its not blocked by anything
