RSS Feed Description

Chuck

The description on rss feeds looks like this:

"Description: Brand  New - RCSSV17-H) RCS SV 17cc single engine W/Electronic  ignition, including muffler, with complete upgrades, includes a  12 volt electric starter, 2 chicken sticks. Set for quick sale Price  of 175.00 "

Any ideas? It works fine in photo gallery.

Maybe try adding the line in bold in external.php

That fixed it and thanks.

One question, I thought a thumbnail was suppose to show also if the ad has pictures? I know it does in photo gallery but it's not doing it in classifieds.

Your src for the thumbnail is correct in the rss page source.

If you are speaking of the htaccess code file that comes with classifieds then no I haven't touch that at all. It seems to me if my photo gallery rss displays properly then classifieds should too.

This is whats in the source of the rss feed and it looks valid to me html wise

I showed you our external file and images appear so something has to be blocking the display on your site.

I don't see anything any my other htaccess file that would block it. I would think if it were being block by the htaccess file it would also block the rss pics from my photopost photo gallery too, but it doesn't. My photo gallery works as it should.

well the gallery and classifieds external.php files are essentially the same.

then the pics will show but the html code comes back in the description as I showed you in my first post.

Okay so the rss feed shows fine as it is coded you just cant parse html

You can try replacing the htmlspecialchars in the rss feed with the un_htmlspecialchars but I dont specifically know that the rss feed was suppose to be parsing html directly in descriptions personally

I deleted 'description' and it works for the way I want it.

all you did is remove the description
