using an external mail server

Hi,

I use classifieds and photopost with vbulletin integration.

With some load problems I put the mail server to an external server and vbulletin offers the possibilty to do so, but now classifieds and photopost are no longer able to send mails?

What do I have to do, to use the external mail server account with classifieds and photopost?

There is no ability in our applications to use an external server that I know if your talking SMTP.

we use straight php mail command so unless you can alter php to use those new smtp settings I really cant offer any other advise than that.
