Allow users to be notified of new posts via email?

Is this setting used to notify sellers when someone posts a comment to a listing or is it used to notify ALL users of a new listing or ???

Is there a "notify seller by email if someone sends them a message" ??

yes that option is to notify about comments to the ad if I am following where your looking. To be notified of new ads in a category you view the category and subscribe to it.

If someone uses the contact seller link and contacts the seller they are emailed thats how the contact seller works.

The seller is not getting a message nor an email if someone leaves a new comment in his listing.

Maybe I am wrong but... I looked in the comments.php and I see where "subscribers" are notified, but I don't see anywhere in that code where the seller himself is being notified and, since the seller is not getting a message nor an email, I'm prone to think that it's not in there.

btw: I see where the admin is notified on a:
if ( $Globals['uploadnotify'] == "yes" )
but shouldn't that setting only be for new listings, and not for new comments to listing???

The seller is not going to be notified unless he explicitly asks to be when he uploads an ad he enables notification or not. There is most definately an option that asks about notification and the scripting does indeed have calls to send emails out.
