Final Value Commission

Is there a way to also charge a % fee based on final sale price for an auction? Like eBay does.

e.g.

For auctions only, there would be a listing price + final value cost

Perhaps £5 charge for creating the auction advert, then 2% of final value. If item sold for £100. Then the total cost would be £7 (£5 + £2).



If it requires some code changing, any ideas on which bits?

Not in our software at this time no sorry because quite simply not all payment for things is processed through our software. we dont really have an online shopping cart feature like ebay does.

Could the user pay a final value fee (at end of action) in the same way that they pay for the listing? i.e. via paypal?

I have the code to send a paypal payment request via email. Where in your opinion would be a good place to add this? e.g. module that ends an auction?

An auction ends two ways if a user stops there auction and normally the sendnotice.php cron script

I guess you can alter your code in whatever fashion you wish.
