Menubar how to change?

I need to know where to change the menubar settings? I'm not looking to change any of the links or names. I want to change the spacing of the links and perhaps make the "Place an ad" more noticeable and stand out more.

The menubar is defined in the pp-inc.php file under the function topmenu
